A delicious salted caramel pear tart with a buttery crust, sweet pears, and a rich salted caramel sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3–4 tbsp ice water
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water until dough forms.
- Roll dough into a circle and press into a tart pan.
- Arrange pear slices on the crust.
- Bake for 30 minutes until crust is golden.
- Heat brown sugar, cream, and butter in a saucepan until smooth.
- Stir in sea salt and pour caramel over baked tart.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use firm pears for better texture.
- Chill dough before rolling to prevent shrinking.
- Adjust salt to taste.
