Description

A savory and slightly sweet stir-fry dish featuring tender beef slices coated in a rich sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Coat beef slices evenly with cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
  5. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and water. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  6. Return beef to the pan and simmer until sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with green onions before serving.

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust sugar for desired sweetness.
