Description

A quick and easy twist on the classic quesadilla, combining the flavors of a smashburger with melted cheese in a crispy tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Cook until browned and crispy, then set aside.
  5. Place a tortilla in a clean skillet over medium heat.
  6. Sprinkle half the cheese on one side of the tortilla.
  7. Add a layer of cooked beef, onions, and pickles.
  8. Drizzle with ketchup and mustard.
  9. Top with remaining cheese and fold the tortilla in half.
  10. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  11. Repeat with remaining tortillas and ingredients.
  12. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Serve with extra ketchup or mustard if desired.
