Instructions
- Slice the red onion thinly.
- Pack the slices into a clean jar.
- Heat vinegar, water, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour the hot liquid over the onions.
- Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using.
