Description

A delicious and savory dish featuring black cod marinated in a sweet and salty miso glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 black cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix miso paste, mirin, sake, sugar, and soy sauce in a bowl.
  2. Coat the cod fillets with the marinade and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Scrape off excess marinade and bake the cod for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Broil for 1-2 minutes until the glaze caramelizes.
  6. Serve immediately.

  • Pat the fish dry before baking for better caramelization.
