Description

A refreshing and light lemon basil sorbet served with fresh berries. Perfect for a summer dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

Instructions

  1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  3. Add lemon juice and chopped basil to the syrup. Stir well.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  6. Serve scoops of sorbet with fresh berries on top.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh lemons for the best flavor.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and stir every 30 minutes until frozen.
