A simple recipe for crusty bread with garlic and herbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp mixed dried herbs (rosemary, thyme, oregano)
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.
- Add warm water and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Fold in minced garlic and herbs.
- Shape into a loaf and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool before slicing.

- Use fresh herbs if available.
- Let dough rise in a warm place.
