- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Place bread cubes evenly in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour mixture over the bread, pressing down to soak.
- Drizzle melted butter on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and set.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Top with maple syrup or fresh berries.
