A delicious and crispy tofu filling wrapped in soft bao buns, perfect for a quick meal or snack.
Ingredients

- 200g firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 4 bao buns
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup sliced cucumber
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
Instructions
- Press tofu to remove excess water and cut into cubes.
- Toss tofu with soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and fry tofu until crispy.
- Steam bao buns according to package instructions.
- Spread hoisin sauce inside each bao bun.
- Fill with crispy tofu, shredded carrots, and sliced cucumber.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Press tofu for at least 15 minutes for better crispiness.
- Adjust hoisin sauce to taste.
- Add sriracha for extra spice.
