Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan until melted.
  6. Add cooked macaroni and mix well.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
  • Add breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
  • For extra creaminess, stir in a splash of heavy cream.
