- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan until melted.
- Add cooked macaroni and mix well.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
- Add breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
- For extra creaminess, stir in a splash of heavy cream.
