Ingredients

- 2 cups chopped clams
- 4 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 4 cups water or clam juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Pour in water or clam juice and bring to a boil.
- Add potatoes and cook until tender.
- Stir in clams and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and slowly add heavy cream.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.
