Description

A refreshing Caprese sandwich with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and basil.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of crusty bread
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
  • 45 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast the bread slices.
  2. Drizzle olive oil on one side of each slice.
  3. Layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil leaves on one slice.
  4. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the toppings.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Top with the second bread slice.
  7. Slice in half and serve immediately.
