Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne in a bowl.
  3. Coat chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
  4. Fry chicken in hot oil until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey in a bowl.
  7. Toss fried chicken in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the chicken.
  • Adjust sriracha for more or less heat.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
