A classic Indian dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce.
Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and spices for at least 2 hours.
- Cook marinated chicken in a pan until lightly browned. Set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions until soft.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add cream and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add cooked chicken and kasuri methi. Simmer for 10 more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with naan or rice.
Notes
- For best results, marinate chicken overnight.
- Adjust chili powder to control spiciness.
- Kasuri methi enhances flavor – don’t skip it.
